he Nokia 5110 is a GSM phone released in Q3 of 1998. It is the more consumer-oriented variant of the 6110.

It is notably the first Nokia phone to feature the Navi-key design, dropping the second navigation key and using the remaining key only as a selection/confirmation button, thus making the on-screen options and menus easier to comprehend for new users of mobile phones. It is also the first phone to feature Nokia's signature Xpress-on covers, allowing the user to detach and replace the phone's faceplate with just the push of a tab if they wish to customize their phone with an aftermarket faceplate or replace it in case of damage.

It is the second Nokia phone to be based on an ARM CPU, after the 6110.
